Hi Neil, All;
Sounds like a confirmed bug to me - with Sam Ewalt's runaway downloads.

Michael has said several times that he no longer monitors the list -
probably because it just makes for too much mail.
I do know that every once in a while he does inject his comments into
a debate seemingly indicating that he IS paying attention, but IMHO we
shouldn't rely on that.

He set up bugs@arachne to make sure he got bug reports without a lot of
other noise.
May I suggest that the first person to report an odd effect send a copy
of their first report with the first confirming report to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
without waiting for further confirms ?
Remember the format:
Subject: Aver# for (DOS/Linux) bug - yadayadaydyada

We don't know where MP is in the development of 1.71 and if a new report
holds up the release a few days for another fix, we could be better off.
This message is NOT CC'd to bugs.

I shut up and f o now. <G>
