But the point is that I should not NEED to change anything. You have
pointed out a problem with a file, but your fix isn't fixing it. I've
never needed to change any file to get Arachne to work in any directory
that I choose.

AFAIK there isn't a standard and normal way for installing Arachne ;-)

You don't see the point do you? The problem with your idea is that it's
fixed to c:\arachne\ You are only creating new problems by starting
"fixing" things that way.

Yes of course, I can't see how the file looks like now, but by using
"file:" (such as file:mime.cfg) I'll go to the correct place no matter
where Arachne has been installed.
