It is possible that your index files in your mail folders might have
become farkled. I know of a neat trick that sometimes works with
problems like yours. Following my advice might not help, but it
certainly can't hurt. This is what *sometimes* works for me to get
things sorted out correctly:
1. ALT - X to get out of Arachne.
2. del *.idx and del *.srt in all mail folders.
3. Then go back into Arachne.
When you re-open your mail folders some new *.idx and *.srt files will
automagically be created for you. Then things might work as they should.
I can't guarantee that this will fix the problem, but it might. Sometimes
this works for me.
