Dear List, Sam E., et. al:
This is now the second attempt I have made to connect using
Arachne DOS web browser to rainierconnect.com. I fortunately was
successful at using the URL's supplied by the List to get info so
I could connect to their WWW server. However, the rub seems to be
about sending mail. The smtp.log says I connect, but doesn't appear
to send data. Also, it seems slower than Mindspring. Is this just me
or something I am doing? I am using dynamic addressing and attached
below is my smtp.log and my arachne.cfg from 1.68. Thanks in advance
for any help I can get on this. I am waiting awhile to call Tech
Support number here and/or write the system administrator Mike Bell.
I will probably get the stock answer that others get: use Win 9.x or
2000 or use an "intelligent" Winsock dialer, etc. Hopefully soon I
can get up and running with my new ISP and then I can upgrade to
Arachne 1.68.
