Sam's probs with Realbox.com sound curiously similiar to mine with
a local ISP. They seem to have less equipment than Earthlink, but
they use dynamic IP assignment and Netmask. Also, they have about
8 servers and they have dif IP ranges with different domains {*.com,
*.net, *.org and the like} This gets to be a little confusing.
a few issues back in the Digest [EMAIL PROTECTED] was {or is} still
trying to get connected. His prob was different. Mine is that once
I have gotten all the right "lines" in Arachne.cfg filled in
right and it looks like it is going to connect, It loads the
packet driver or something and I get the message "out of environment
space" three or four times. I was careful to load epppd high and
even increased the environment space to 160 bytes extra memory, but
I still get this. Also, if the message from DOS is not "packet
driver loaded at 0x6?" then does that mean it did not load? Also,
the Arachne DGI will "freeze" and the mouse or nothing will work.
I looked at what they sent me in an instruction booklet, and I think
that the thing that Arachne is most like is the Free PPP dialer setup
in Mac or Apple. Help anyone! much thanks for any insight into
this problem. Attached is my arachne.cfg with my password blanked
