Thomas, I just took a cursory look at your .cfg and saw nothing unusual,
but I'm sure others will look more closely.

I'm responding to the "Out of environment space" issue.

You should have a line like this in your DOS config.sys file:
SHELL=C:\COMMAND.COM /p /e:512

The last number is the space allotted to the environment.
160 is definitely NOT enough. 300 would be marginal.
It depends to some extent on how much junk you HAVE in the environment.
Some people have path statements that span the screen. :(
Some have very fancy prompts.:)
Arachne has a fancy prompt when shelled to DOS. ;-)
