... and it has been bugging me for a loooooooooong time.

Many times when I d/l a file I want it to go directly to a specific
place and not into the default "download" directory. So I hand enter
the path and hit SAVE.

Later I'll go looking for the file and can't find it anywhere!

Why? Because Arachne doesn't have any error handling capability when
doing "DOS stuff" ...

If you give a path like C:\arachne\hold-it\thisfile.zip and hit SAVE,
Arachne simply goes about it's business, claims to have written the file
and returns you to your page of origin.

However, if the actual path was C:\arachne\hold_it\thisfile.zip, the
file won't be saved & the DOS error message "cannot find path" won't be
shown.,, which is why you can carefully "save" a file and lose it
completely.

Before I bother with a 'bug report' I need some input from a few of the
DOSgurus who know if/how a DOS error[or completion] message could be
passed to the Arachne screen.
