Christof,

Great post! I found Trumpet yestday & downloaded it. It was archived
as 1.06 revision B but short of comparing actual file dates it's
difficult to tell. The files in the archive are dated 7/30/93 IIRC.

Now that I got my ISP to turn BOOTP back on <G> I should be able to
follow your instructions and see if I can get it running! If I manage
that, then I may be able to fine-tune it using my dedicated IP info.

To ALL: There are times I wish that Arachne were *NOT* so flexible; I
have a pile of tweaks & stuff in my "fine tune" directory that I haven't
even started to look at for implementation!! I'm sure *some* of them
are outdated, but ... With 1.70 I haven't even dumped in the most basic
of APMs because I'm hoping that 1.71 will get rid of some of the buggy
things in 1.70. It's hard to test software when you have lots of things
added on, or it is for me. :>

How nice would be a day when a stable version of basic Arachne could be
downloaded & installed, and then a quick trip to the "much better
indexed and made clear whether you can use 'all' or 'only one' APM list"
to allow personalization of the Arachne installation. :)

Hey! A gal is *allowed* to dream dreams, and don't you forget it! }:>
