For some reason Hotmail wants to use SSL for their mail accounts. Why
do you need Hotmail?
Go to Yahoo and get an e-mail account there. You won't need SSL
compatibility, and you can even set it up so that you can download &
upload mail instead of having to be on-line to read/write messages.
