90 K is not much for a 30 Gig HDD, which costed much less than the 450 MB
HDD for my old 486 ...
The version which came with a 1.70 is even larger ...
(but you can compress it if you want)

PS: DPMI Server is allways loaded (qemm's qdpmi) so I don't need cwsdpmi.
And PNG decompression can take on a 386 ...
this is why I ask why not update to a pentium I ??

Arachne is a special case ...
they are NOT external to other browsers.
And they are only external to arachne, because she has to cope with the DOS
640K limit. (ie realmode)

no ... 32 bit DOS programs are actually a bit slower, because they have to
switch back to realmode, if they want to call a dos function.
BUT (big but) you have a flat address space.
You don't need to make error prone operations like xswap, and you are not
that incredinly limited.
