Hi folks,

some days ago I d/led and installed Ghostscript 5.10 and since it's capable of high
quality output even of my very ancient 9-pi
 Star printer I tried to use it for printing web pages from Arachne. The results are
very good and here is what to do:

1. Add the following line to mime.cfg:
    file/printgs.dgi     |@gs386 @psprint

2. Create a ascii file named "psprint" in Your Arachne directory containing the
following:
    -sDEVICE=eps9high -dBATCH _4prt.ps

   Replace "eps9high" with the device name suiting Your printer (read GS manual :-)).

3. Add the following to the file "ps.ah" in \arachne\system\gui directory:
    <TABLE CELLSPACING=1 BORDER FRAME="void" ALIGN=CENTER>
    <TD BGCOLOR=SILVER ALIGN=RIGHT>
    <FONT 3D=2><B>Print via Ghostscript</B></FONT>
    &nbsp;<A HREF="arachne:back"><IMG SRC="file://pidizrus.ikn" HEIGHT=16 WIDTH=16
BORDER=0>
    <TR><TD BGCOLOR=SILVER ALIGN=RIGHT NOWRAP><FONT COLOR=BLACK>
    <FORM ACTION="file://printgs.dgi">
    <INPUT TYPE=SUBMIT VALUE="Print">
    </TABLE>

    <BR>

So all to have to do is hit ALT-P and click on the "Print" button.
Perhaps this is useful for someone. Have fun.

Regards Joerg
