Curtis, I don't think anyone has ever had timeout problems with Arachne due
to a slow modem. There are several people that use 9600, and one person at
least that uses 2400. So your frequent failure to connect properly must be
something else - possibly dynamic DNS #s - but I can't help here.
I have no idea what the problem might be with sending long emails either.
To add an email address or any other link to the addressbook, highlite the
address (shiftENTER if using the keyboard) and hit "A" to "Add" it.
The problem we can get occasionally when downloading a file is due to the
server labeling the file with the wrong MIME type - usually Text/Plain.
So Arachne brings up a text style window.
What you do in this case is hit "F2" and you will get the normal save options.
