To do this the server you are telnetting to must allow outgoing
ftp. This is usually the case with Unix shell accounts, not BBS's.
With NCSA (or CUTCP) Telnet, you can ftp (Alt-F) back to your own
PC for file transfer.

Yes. The Internet BBS that I use, runs an ftp server as well as
a telnet server.
