There are a number of BBS's that are reachable via telnet, such as
juge.com in Sugarland Texas. Also various public access Unix systems
can be accessed with telnet. If you are interested, I could dig up
a list or two.

I saw some BBS lists around the beginning of 1998, more than half the entries
were no good (not BBSes).
TCPPORT.EXE is included with UKA_PPP and also with some WATTCP packages, there
is a TCPPORT.C included with WATT-32 package, TCPPORT.EXE is used with some
programs including X_* mail and news programs in UKA_PPP, can also be used, from
what I read, to make a BBS-access program into a telnet client.
