That would depend, I believe, on how you have your system setup and
what other devices you have already.
I know that it's possible to setup an ISA modem with various
different comm ports and IRQ's and use Arachne sucessfully with
them.
I haven't used a PCI modem, but I don't imagine it would be
any different. Just use whatever is free, that is not occupied
by another device.
