But isn't it the same? I put it in those terms so Tech-Support-Guy
would think "Hmmm, I understand IE5, and we've got users with it
for Win3.1x" rather than telling you to "upgrade". AFAIK, M$ took
the Shiva Dialer and treat it as their own. I know of a liberated version :-)

Not administering any servers, all I can repeat is that I've had the same
problem, which was fixed at the ISP end.
Keep mailing `em. It would be nice to get a declaration of the reason.
