I just sent Seekhey the ARCHN170.EXE as an email attachment...I know
it went, 'cause I saw it go...
My ISP wuuuuvs me...!!!...actually he lets me do just about anything
like this I want to do....someone tried to receive a 200Mbyte email
attachment, once, and jammed up all the servers, except the main
portal server, and he got a bit miffed, but other than something
like that, he just lets us jump in and try the water to our hearts
content.....<g g g >
Seedhey should get back to me later today and let me know if the
attachment got through....
If it did, then we are one step closer to SeekHey's install...BUT
we need to get instructions ready, as to how he should install it,
where, his file-directs (e.g. f:\mail\, i:\cache\, etc.
I think we all agree that Arachne runs best from an approximately
12Mbyte, or bigger, RAMDisk. Installed this way, Arachne is the
fastest Downloader on the whole web, as far as dialup ISPs go.
..and even 14.4 should be reasonably fast.
