Howard:

I sympathize with your feelings on this matter, but let me tell you one
thing:

Unlike the self-proclaimed authorities and vigillantes who patrol the
newsgroups and other mailing lists, The Grammar Sheriff of the Arachne
List, Terri Fitzsimmons, is a democratically elected official and she
has always discharged her duties in a most responsible and professional
manner. She will not do anything to cause anyone any undue public
embarrassment. You will not be corrected by her in public if you object
to such proceedings. Under Sheriff Fitzsimmons policies, you will be
entitled to a private hearing if you so request it. In these cases no
summons will posted for public view.
