Hi Neil,
it's simple:
Here is my autoexec.bat which automatically runs Norton Commander:
@echo off
SET SOUND=C:\SB16
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 H5 P330 T6
SET MIDI=SYNTH:1 MAP:E
C:\SB16\DIAGNOSE /S
C:\SB16\SB16SET /P /Q
path=F:\WINDOWS;C:\IEXPLORE;c:\gs;%PATH%
PATH C:\WINDOWS;C:\QEMM80;C:\OPENDOS;C:\NWCLIENT;C:\DOS;C:\;c:\nc;c:\trumpet;%PATH%
rem lh c:\opendos\drfat32.exe
lh c:\opendos\NWCDEX /D:PROCD01
lh NWCACHE 8196 1024 /LEND=ON /DELAY=ON
c:\ramdisk\xmsdsk 8196 I: /y
PROMPT $p$g
SET TEMP=C:\zzz
SET ARACHNETEMP=g:\arachne\temp
lh KEYB GR+
VERIFY OFF
IF NOT DIREXIST %TEMP% MD %TEMP%
SET OPENDOSCFG=C:\OPENDOS
lh c:\MOUSE\MOUSE.COM /L=D
lh c:\s3vbe\s3vbe20 /INSTALL
rem lh c:\elsa\xrefresh 1024 60Hz
c:\nc\nc <-----THIS IS THE TRICK
Note that if You want to start a batch file like arachne.bat You have to
start it with CALL [drive:]\[path]\arachne .
Regards Joerg
