This is more or less true. More if in DOS, less if in W9x. <G>
If you are running W9x, what you might want to happen doesn't
necessarily result, because that piece of crap just keeps doing
its own thing.
Try putting a simple path statement in the autoexec and re-boot.
What's your path ?
Even with bootgui=0 ?
