Greetings....well I finally got root password figured out for the RH
7.0. I should have stopped there....but no, I still had to mess with
things. My idea was this: Since I got an error message when trying to
set up drdos like I did on my laptop, I thought if I got rid of LILO I
had and instead booted Linux with a floppy, I would be able to do the
drdos thing. So, according to my RH installation guide, you type
/sbin/lilo -u. I double checked to make sure my linux boot disk worked
and than I typed the command. I rebooted with the disk out and w98
started partway and stopped with "Li_" sitting on a black
screen....Well, now with the disk in, Linux starts no problem but now I
can't start my machine for w98. I know that this could be a good thing,
but there are times when I do use it. I tried a boot disk I thought I
made for it, but it just takes me to the "a" prompt. Is there a way to
get windows to start from the "C:\" prompt or is there a way to restore
the start up? I promise I will never mess with anything on this @$!&*!!
machine again if I get it set right.
   Thanks----
   Bad Neil T.

I thought that for installation, root was password-free, though after
installation, root would need password protection.

LILO looks like your best bet for booting DR-DOS, W98 and Linux.

I think if you boot W98 from drive A, you can type "win" and go into full-blown
W98. Does anybody know this for sure?
