Is anybody familiar with the Kodak CD format that is now almost
universally offered as an option with bulk photo finishing from
the big chain stores like Wal-Mart and K-Mart?
Is this a proprietary format? It used to be (like last year) that
you could get your photos on a floppy disk as *.jpg's from K-Mart.
(You still can from Wal-Mart).
What image format does the Kodak CD actually use?
Any hope for using Arachne with a Kodak CD?
Then there's Bluelight.com (K-Mart's website) You can get your photos
there. Kmart develops your film and makes prints that you pick up
at the store and also puts them on their website, from which you
can download them or send them to friends as email.
Any hope for using Arachne with Bluelight.com?
Or is it just a lost cause altogether?
I hate being forced into using Windows and Kodak. Just plain jpegs
on a disk would do just fine.
