The problem is a simple one, one I suspected when you mentioned words
stuck together without spaces:
Long lines ... EXCESSIVELY LONG LINES! F4 often can't read a page
because of long lines, while F6 can. But in this case the lines were in
excess of 500 characters long [that's the default I have set on external
editor & it had to split long lines]
