The issue wasn't that another OS may have become
better should things have gone a different route -
it's that windows *is* better *because* of all the
software written for it!  Sure, if everyone had
written all their apps for Qube or something, then
that would be better.

The issue wasn't the OS, it's speed or
stability...simply the fact that it's standard and has
much more to offer.

Apart from this, don't try to belittle me - I've used
DesqView, and though yes if things went a different
route another OS may have been better than windows,
but not desqview.  I've tried more than my share of
non-windows OS's - DesqView lacked the ability to run
graphics applications...it's multitasking isn't
particularly intelligent...go ahead and try running
Arachne in it for example.  I'll leave it at that.
