This should be an easy problem to fix.  Wouldn't it be a simple
matter for some accomplished programmer to write a little program
to alert the user whenever his computer attempts to contact his
smtp server?  The program could also be provided with a "CANCEL"
button for the user to click on in order to stop the sendmail
process.
