Distorted images in 1.70 rev 3

Hi all,

On my system, Arachne 1.70 rev. 3 appears unable to display images
correctly. Every image downloaded from the web looks like a kind of
corrupt negative of the original. I didn't have this problem in V 1.50.

Other stand-alone image viewers on this system display images ok.

The videocard is a Tseng ET4000 VGA with 1024 kB.

Any ideas what might cause this problem?
