Thomas - LxPic (V6.4, 37K, 21-APR-00) is a small and powerful DOS picture viewer. It has only 16KB code and runs in 64KB memory to decode and view pictures of any size. It displays JPG, GIF, PCX and BMP files of any color depth, size and dimension. LXPIC supports all standard VGA, EGA and CGA screen modes and VESA SVGA modes up to 1280x1024x256 colors. Use the /S command line switch to scan all pictures on a whole drive just in a few seconds. LxPic may be used as a plug-in with D&A's Internet browser WWW/LX. It available at: http://home.t-online.de/home/stefan.peichl/ I have used it extensively, and like it a lot. Lots of other good DOS sownloads at the same URL, too.
