Yep, my experience as-well. :((

What I 'should' have said is that the "USGS" secion of terraserver is
Arachne friendly. (not so with the satalite image section)

http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/default.asp (works fine)

(won't work without the default.asp)

Linking to http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/ rediects to
"http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com:80/default.asp"; (quotes included)

This causes the Uknown protocol error in Arachne and you must delete
the quotes from your URL line to get in.
