Sam Heywood, and others too, Now that you found LHA or LHARC, how often do you use it? I guess it comes in handy for those few archives in that format. I think most compressed archives are in ZIP format for non-Unix and .tgz for Unix, at least for the open-source Unixes or Unix clones. I don't think RAR (shareware) has reached the mainstream (I hope it doesn't). A rather new open-source archiver is bzip2, and there is a DOS version too, linked from http://www.rahul.net/dkaufman/
