There is no version of DOS underneath NT, 2000, or XP. All three can run DOS programs with an included emulator. 95, 98, and ME all run on top of an included DOS, although with ME this was somewhat hidden from view. As I said before, I've seen Arachne running in a DOS window with 95 and 98. I don't know if it would run with XP or 2000. I think it should, but I don't know. After the holidays I'm going to run some tests with XP and Arachne and Win-modems with my friend at the local computer store. I'll let you know the results.
