I have just completed a new version of BasicLinux.
It includes a mail reader, a SMTP client, mailto
capability for the links browser, improvements to the
pico editor (including the ability to work with mc),
a relinking of busybox (to make it easier to upgrade
components), and a re-write of the routine for saving
ppp settings to floppy (includes mail settings). Despite
this extra functionality, BasicLinux 1.6 is *smaller*
than BasicLinux 1.5 -- you've got an extra 50kb on the
filesystem to play with.

I have just uploaded 1.6 to the BasicLinux site, but
it is not visible yet. I'd like to do 3-4 days testing
before I make it available to the general public. However,
if any of you guys would like to be guinea pigs, you can
download here:

Please let me know if you find any bugs and I will fix
them before doing the proper release.

Cheers,
Steven
