There is absolutely nothing in either of these files that refers to any modem drivers. In the "Re-start in MS-DOS mode" there is of course no GUI icon that I can click on to examine the properties. This feature is available for the "DOS-box" mode but not for the "Restarted in MS-DOS mode". It does appear that the restarted mode does have different properties from the dos-box mode because the modem works in the restarted mode, but not in the dos-box mode nor in the real mode. In examining the properties stuff while in the dos-box mode I cannot find a separate setup screen showing different sets of properties for the restarted mode. Maybe what you want me to look for is in there somewhere, but I cannot find it. I am not a Windows enlightened master and vishnu and I have never even entered into any Windows discipleship, but I have learned of some of the new and strange teachings involuntarily as a result of the pervasiveness and intrusive nature of the the cult followers and the priestcraft. Now I have decided that it is good to develop some awareness of the new heresies in order to learn how to better preserve and to honor our own heritage and traditions. Maybe Windows automagically installed a special set of dos drivers for use with the re-started mode when I installed the modem. If you will give me exact instructions on the procedures covering what I should click on and look for, then maybe I can find out about what you want to know. <snip> Sam Heywood -- This mail was written by user of The Arachne Browser - http://arachne.cz/
