No need. BasicLinux has its own GCC. Just click GCC on the BasicLinux site for full installation instructions. > Can BasicLinux deal with it? BasicLinux starts small, but it can be expanded to whatever you want using packages from Slackware 3.5. I ran Netscape on BasicLinux and it worked fine.
