Nearly every distribution that comes out with a
minor number of 0 has more bugs than later versions.
If at all possible, you should run an x.2 version.
RH 5.2 would be a much better choice than 5.0, but if
that's what you want to use because that's what you
have, then one of the first things you'll want to do
is hit https://www.redhat.com/apps/support/errata/ and
grab any of the updates for packages you have installed,
or think you'll want to install.

You probably won't want to run Netscape 4.x on such
a machine except when absolutely necessary. It'll use
swap extensively, and just crawl. If you can upgrade to
to at least 24 MB RAM, it should be at least tolerable.
(navigator executable alone is 7.6 MB)

Netscape 3.04 will run fine in 16MB RAM. It supports
JS 1.1 I believe, so will work with some JS sites, but
more often than not, you'll spend a lot of time clicking
OK to get rid of the JS error popup. I just keep JS
disabled and use 4.x on sites I really need.
(executable is 4.5 MB)
