I would be deeply surprised if a guy like me who has maybe written three or four DOS batch files would ever feel the constraint of bash scripts, since bash is several times more robust than DOS batch files. (Judging strictly by reputation). There's a limit to my curiosity. Mainly I'm trying to avoid falling into the clutches of the evil empire and it's annual toll. Who wants to pay Microsoft a hundred bucks a year forever just to be able to use the Internet? I think that's just wrong and deserves spirited resistance. That's the main reason I'm interested in Linux. Sam Ewalt Croswell, Michigan, USA -- Arachne V1.70;rev.3, NON-COMMERCIAL copy, http://arachne.cz/
