  I wouldn't count on that, never underestimate the gullibility of 
the masses for hype. Cable tv got started by promiseing no commercials,
that's why you had to pay for it. People gladly pay for commercials 
now.
  Most people I talk to about computers, don't want to learn programming
or have to configure anything, or put in this or take out that, they
usually tell me, all they want is, is to be able to turn it on and go!
It's not a hobby or job to them, it's a way to surf the world via
internet, or to get their work done. The reason windows is  so popular,
besides B.G.'s shrewd %*&^(#$ business acumen, is they can buy a computer
with it installed, plug in and go. Or put in a disk answer a few
questions and then go. Until, or even if, Linux becomes more user 
friendly it won't go over with the common everday user, at home or
office, it will only be relegated to servers or somebody real into 
tweaking their computer, most people like cars, but most are'nt
mechanics.
