Hmm, as I've only played on a Win98SE machine a few times, and never
on a WinME, I can only offer my own experience when I "upgraded" to
Win95 from Win31...the documentation for Win95 backup specifically said
that this version was not compatible with prior versions of Backup. I
suspect this may be the case with Win98SE and WinME. So, you will most
likely need to find a Win98 machine and use the Backup from Win98 to
unpack the contents temporarily to HD, then I would use a compression
tool like LHA or PKZip or other of your taste to archive the necessary
files/data.
