Thomas;

  I don't know if I can be of any help at all to you, but I used to have
memory problems using Arachne with m$dos 6.22. They were solved for me
by loading everthing high in config.sys, and making sure all TSR's like
the mouse, were loaded according to size, the largest first then in
descending order to the smallest. Also as it was explained to me one of
my problems was m$'s emm386 which sends out a periodic token ring signal.
Using Himem.sys only helped but memmaker helped more, following are some
lines memmaker used to put in my config.sys.

DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS HIGHSCAN AUTO NOTR

DEVICE=C:DOS\EMM386.EXE RAM AUTO NOTR

I would put the NOTR in myself, if I didn't Arachne would quite
regularly lock and freeze on me, it stops the token ring signal.
Hope this is of some help.
