Setup a new install of Arachne today, tested dialer in terminal mode.
Connects ok but when using F7 to get packet mode driver does not install.
I had another time with a modem that I had to drop the "&D2" from init
string. This time I added &D0.
I read in the ppp dialer text file that driver cycled DTR to install
driver. Never understood this completely. Could someone enlighten?
Certain modems seem to require DTR settings changed, or does it have
something to do with com port settings?

Is there a method to eliminate the "press any key" when exiting Arachne?
Perhaps something to do with the unregistered version?
In version 1.70r3, the default setting for hotlist.htm when using Hotlist
Manager in export to file name: s
Older versions of Arachne would automatically write to
\arachne\hotlist.htm, but current version requires manual entry of path.
No big deal though my newbies would never figure that out. What is the
"s" for?
On the subject of Hotlist Manager, I just tried to access it and get a
memory trap. Hotlist.htm displays fine though I see I have a lengthy
list at end of file to be processed. Is there a size/line limit in Hotlist?
File size about 13K.

Finally, would love to hear more on 2 of recent subjects: the
differences between the 3 flavors of BSD, and info on practicality of
programming in Assembler. Always did like small code but how difficult
is it to learn for a newbie as myself?
