Greetings to All, Has anyone used Perl from Arachne locally?
I have a copy of the DOS Perl implementation - which works fine when run as a normal program. I am trying to play with some CGI scripts (initially to do a 'hit counter'), where the CGI script is run as if an image. The CGI scriot should calculate and return the relevant image files to construct the count (example code taken from a Perl book). As far as I can see, the perl is running, and the script is returning the correct image file names. The cache ends up with the correct file names in it. But - the file is either 0 bytes, or the file contains the name of the file it's supposed to be (i.e. 2.gif) and not the data to give the .GIF image. Maybe it's just me using the parameter settings in MIME.CFG wrongly? Has anyone had anything like this working? Geoff Barnard - Guisborough, England
