just tested to connect to pop.mail.yahoo.de via the Arachne telnet apm
and it worked for me without a problem (remember that pop3 still works
in Germany with Yahoo). I have DSL provided by Deutsche Telekom. So we
know that port 110 works with telnet and DSL.
