You can do this on the internal setup screens within Arachne.
Press "O" to bring-up the Options screen.
Choose "Preferences & performance".
Near the bottom of the left side of the page you'll see
"Virtual screens, & scrolling".
If you have plenty of memory and a fast machine... choose 5000.
To make that screen-shot of the entire page which started this thread....
I had to manually enter 20000 into Arachne.cfg (that is one HUGE page)
My "normal" settings are....
x large 5000
x smooth
x Realtime smooth scrolling ("Netscape")
Clarence HATES this one because it then requires the use of
Shft+arrowkey to move the mouse pointer around the screen.
(Clarence also HATES "rodents" and uses the keyboard EXCLUSIVELY) ;-)
I like it because the arrowkeys by themselves allow smooth scrolling
up, down, left and right of the current page.
(and I hold no animosity toward mice) ;-)
To each his own. ;-)
BTW,
On that same setup screen you'll see the options for various sizes and
styles of "scroll bars". Including "Clarence style".....
Which is of coarse, no scroll bars at-all. ;-)
