No, no freezing any more. Now I get the file:@:*.* and the mouse pointer
is still on the screen. With ESC = back all functions as intended.

All but: the CD-player, so this is a solution but not a nice one.

There is another problem with the 486 ... too less colors.
How to run the screen setup for HI-COLOR mode without losing the
complete installation details like phonenumbers, passwords etc.?
Arachne Video Setup does not work... 'try selected graphics mode' returns:
Unable to initialize video mode - please run setup.bat

This brings me into an endless circle... and sometimes to an FATAL runtime
error. 16 colors is not that much...

BTW that little trick of 'mem/c' to see what is realy going on did help
me to solve memory related problems...
