Until recently, I was using Word Perfect 8 for Linux to
create all my invoices. (Invoices are now automatically
created via mysql and php.) Anyway, my Lexmark E210 came
out after WP8, so there was no driver. What to do? Export
from WP as a postscript file, and then using lpr, print the
*.ps. It was an extra step, but it did a beautiful job.

When I created a form for the roastery, I also exported it
as a postscript file (habit)... only to discover once I got
to work, that Windoze doesn't natively (or at least easily)
handle postscript files. Downloaded and installed ghostview
for doze, and now Windoze 2000 at work can also print out
postscript files.

Bottom line, if Arachne can output the page as a
postscript file, you can install Ghostview for DOS and print
it out that way. It's available on LETMIS ;-) under the
postscrp directory. Get gs403ini.zip, gs403dos.zip, and
gs403fn1.zip (fonts). Matter of fact, I've stuck those
at http://wizard.dyndns.org for a limited time... say til
the end of the year... 693K, 797K, and 1,170K respectively.

Seems there must be a lower resource way to do it, but
that's the way I know how... btw, Linux lpr command is only
18K. Maybe it'd be worthwhile getting one of those
Linux-on-a-CD distributions, boot from CD to Linux and print
the *ps file that way... or maybe someone knows an lpr-like
utility for DOS?
