I use Arachne as a viewer-only in a very "stripped down" state - 500k 
for the Arachne dir, similar for the fonts, call it 1100k all up, full
screen - no toolbar or any other screen clutter. I'd be interested in a
formal viewer-only version.

Stripping out the comms stuff would be possible, given the source. If I 
ever do come across the source, I'll have a go at it and add a scripting 
facility for HTGET, or in my case, YAN. I'm not holding my breath, 
though.
As for the DB, that's of no interest to me so I've no views on it, I'm 
afraid.
