this is not possible.
JS mainly alters browser specific stuff.
This is not possible from outside the browser.
And IMHO arachne has already veeeeeeeeeeery limited JS support built into her.

I vote for being built into.
Shelling out is MISERABLY slow.
Why even further reduce her speed ?
I would like to see a port of the source which is GCC compatible (gcc and
djgpp) and uses a non proprietary open output library.
One could than make smaller executables, which for example have no SSL support,
but are smaller.
