I don't see anything wrong with the bemax.jpg except its size. Showing a 235KB graphic file as a smaller size doesn't make it download any faster. You need to make a small version known as a "thumbnail," say 9K or 10K and use that as the anchor for the link to the full size version. Especially on the front page... which is the first thing people see.
