I do it all the time. :)
But....
There is no easy substitute for saving ALL, repeat ALL, the files
involved, as 8.3 file names, remembering what each one is, then editing
the .HTM code to match those file names.
Except .....
More often than not, it is possible to use WGET (as mentioned
before) to regressively retrieve the whole website.
HOWEVER ...
WGET does not deal with file names longer than 8.3 ! So you had
better check for long file names of graphics, sound files, multimedia
files, etc.. before you start, otherwise each matching file will
overwrite the previous one.
