A fresh compile of wwwman is now ready. Items deleted from the cache by use of either 'Shft+Enter/Delete' while in the cache index listing or the delete key while viewing the item itself will no longer show in a reload of the cache index listing. (cacheindex.dgi will no longer be listed nor included in the count of cache items) _________________________________________________________________________ So.... Since the cache index is not placesd into the cache. (but is rather simply 'held' in memory) We have no file in our cache directory which can be saved or edited. (the work-araound) You just KNEW that I'de have a workaround... didn't you ??? ;-) (to save it) 1) while viewing the cacheindex press F6 2) press F2 and change 'cacheindex.dgi' to some other name (press enter or line to the 'save' button) (to edit and save the changed file) 1) while viewing the cacheindex press F6 2) press F4 to edit it 3) after pressing F4 and makeing the changes if any, press Ctrl+W and change the default name of 'quickpad.txt' to some other [path]\filename and press enter. There you go... it's saved. :)) As I said in an earlier message. We **can** amke her do almost ***anything** we want her to do. :)) Now you tell me. Ain't this just the best program you have EVER seen ??? -- Glenn http://arachne.cz/ http://www.delorie.com/listserv/mime/ http://www.cisnet.com/glennmcc/ http://www.cisnet.com/glennmcc/aqc/
