We had one on the floor until about three weeks ago. While cleaning stuff out in preparation for the move, the fax machine went to the dump. It didn't feed multiple sheets, and sometimes tried to eat things. It did actually work though if you fed the paper in by (two) hands though. It was an old HP500C fax/printer/copier. Nobody around here wanted it once its shortcomings were explained, so out it went. One good thing about moving is that it forces you to go through all your "stuff" and prioritize. > I used the DOS program "BITFAX". I also used to have a DOS fax program that came with one of my modems... the 14.4k I think. > Does anyone know if a faxmodem for the computer is a special one? I don't think so. If the modem part works on your computer, the fax part should too. -- Steve Ackman http://twoloonscoffee.com (Need green beans?) http://twovoyagers.com (glass, linux & other stuff)
